Round 7

Here we go Tipsters another round is upon us so it’s time to get another perfect 9.

Geelong v GWS (Sam)

Round 7 starts down at the Cattery. Whilst Giants don’t scare easily, they have taken a beating from injuries and should be wary of the Cats as they don’t take losing at home lightly. If Geelong can kick more than one goal after half time they will take the big W.

Fun Fact: Geelong are ranked 17th in Centre Clearances!!! How does this even happen with Dangerablettwood in the midfield?!?!?!

Cats by 27pts

Western Bulldogs v Gold Coast (Sam)

Gold Coast continue their travelling nightmare and head to Ballarat this week. I think I drank too much of The Suns Kool-Aid Darren has been serving as I actually thought they were going to be a contender this season. Suns sit 3-3 but their wins are against the Roos, Carlton and Brisbane. Not that the Dogs are doing any better sitting 2-4. With Lynch and May out and them accounting for 50% of the Suns team you can only assume the Dogs will snag this win? The magic 8 ball says

Essendon v Hawthorn (Sam)

The Bombers have had a SHOCKER of a start to the season losing their past four out of five games. Whilst much to everyone’s dismay Hawks are sitting 4th on the ladder! There is no such thing as a 5 year re-build plan at Hawthorn its win a handful of premierships have a couple years breather and repeat. I think this is going to be a close one and with the spotlight shining bright on the Bombers I think they will JUST Scrape in for the win.

Essendon 4 points

West Coast v Port Adelaide (Sam)

Think back to last year’s elimination final and how epic that game was. Extra time and Eagles win with a ‘controversial’ after-the-siren score! WOOOWEEE!  The PEEEAAR travel to Perth to take on the Eagles this week. These 2 teams have a great rivalry and have played some ripper games in the past. Power will be confident with Paddy Ryder’s return but big NicNat and the inform Eagles will give the Power a hard reality check.

Eagles by 27pts

Sydney vs North Melbourne (Darren)

What do you watch this game or the Crows game? If your not a Crows supporter this one may be a better contest, or will it be?

North have got to be the worst of the hot cold teams this year. They go and turn Hawthorn into powder puffs and then they play the PEEEEAAAARRRR (as Sam likes to say) and they come out like powder puffs. Josh Kennedy stubs his big toe and North have a chance but it mostly just comes down to how keen they really are on the night. Think I might go for the Reds to finally win a game at home.

Swans 18 pts

Adelaide v Carlton (Darren)

The only battle for the Crows this week is trying not to increase the hammy count any higher than the current 8!

Crows hierarchy will certainly enjoy this game as I am sure they always treat this side as their reserves team and who they came bring up into the A grade next year. And in that vein of though Gibbs plays his first game against the Crows ressies so look out!

At what stage of the game will Carlton get their first goal? Or will they even get one?

Crows 71 pts

Richmond vs Fremantle (Darren)

You may be thinking another easy win for the ferocious Tigers, the only side that seems to be consistent this year and rightly so sits on top of the ladder. BUT watch out, Freo have a great record against the Tigers at the MCG which should m,ake you shake in your boots in making a selection. Dockers have improved but they will need a lot of HUSH money to keep this Tiger crowd quiet!!

Tigers 8 pts

St Kilda vs Melbourne (Darren)

This is the most mysterious game of all. Who is going to win this one? On paper an easy win for the Demons but they too are so hot and cold. St Kilda on the other hand are just cold and their supporters are lined up against a wall just banging their heads on it saying why, why, why. It is a game that could end up being a blockbuster but most likely will not.

I would like to see the Saints get their S%#t together but they probably won’t.

Demons 15 pts

Brisbane vs Collingwood (Darren)

Oh my gosh the Lions they play some abyssal footy. And what the heck Collingwood, since you beat the Crows you have kept going so if you can keep this forward motion going this game is in the bag for you.

Magpies 53 pts

So there you have it tipsters, good luck and enjoy ya footy!!
