Round 11

Round 11 here we go, as mentioned on Monday, it is a round that see the top 9 sides play the bottom 9. Who of you out there are will to just pick the top 9 to win this week. I so much would love to but you know me I am always smelling an upset (which rarely happens but).

Let’s have a look at the round and see if we can pick a winner. Also don’t forget you Crows fans that are going to Adelaide Oval on Sunday. Take those feather dusters to clean the cob webs off your seats first as the ground had a bye last week. If you have to see any Crows players up close as well use the feather dusters on them as well as they also had the bye last weekend!!!!

Sydney v Carlton

Oh my gosh what is worse than seeing a blockbuster Friday night with Carlton playing at the MCG? Carlton playing an away game interstate on a Friday night, that’s what. What the heck are the AFL doing, trying to kill off Friday night games? Anyways Sydney will be glad as they can’t win a a home game normally, but they will tonight!!!

Swans 47 pts

Western Bulldogs v Melbourne

I have told you before I have a rouge brother who barracks for Melbourne. Well he like all the other Demon supporters think they have won the premiership now and I, like a few others, even expect them all (including my brother) to have the demon tattoo put on this week. So what I am truly saying is they are way, way ahead of themselves, after all Crows smashed Richmond last year by 76 points and then look what happened in the Grand Final! So this week I can smell an upset with the Demons on a high BUT when you look at the facts and in the last 2 games Melbourne have kicked 48 goals and Bulldogs 11 the Demon wagon may continue rolling.

Demons 38 pts

Hawthorn v Port Adelaide

Off to sunny Tassy we go, well I should they go, well I should say cold wet Tassy following hot Shanghai. A city with population of 24 million to a City of 2400.  At least they will be footy fans though.  This is the closest game of the round with 9th playing 10th IT is a hard game to pick though, hawks are usually pretty good on their 2nd home ground but they have now lost 3 games in a row, something that has not happened for a long long time. Port still on a high with all the KM’s they have travelled and the past 2 wins they have had. Oh I am not sure but I am so hoing it will be a close game as it should be. I think I will have to go with the rund for both sides to continue. Hawks to lose and Peeeeaaarrrrr to win.

Power 7 pts

Gold Coast v Geelong

Is it the fact that I can really feel an upset with this game or is it just that I so so want to see an upset and Geelong lose? My argument for the upset is that they sent Essendon off on the roll they are having now and can set the Suns off on the same roll and also that finally the Suns are playing a game, their furst for the season, at home on the Gold Coast. The air will smell good and the surf will be crashing. Upset 1!!

Suns 15 pts

Essendon v Richmond

Upset 2!!

Oh yes this is upset 2. Why you ask. Who knows, my belly is rumbling, its due to either my hunger or its telly me we have a good game coming. (or I guess it could be that curry I had for lunch) Lets look at it. The game is officially a sell-out. The Dreamtime game at the “G” with at least 90,000 in attendance. Sheeds is more than likely to make his first appearance as a footy legend and address his loved ones. It’s a fine recipe to make.

Bombers 21 pts

West Coast v St Kilda - 1st plays 16th (sam)

Eagles are flying high and are playing for their 10th win in a row, whilst the Saints haven’t won a game since round 1. Saints lost Carlise so will have to rely on their other defenders (assuming they have any) to try and stop Kennedy and Darling.  Unless you are a Eagles supporter I’d say this game will be pretty uneventful as West Coast spank the Saints.

Eagles by 50pts

North Melbourne v Brisbane Lion - 5th plays 17th (sam)

When I think of Brisbane I don’t think of them as one of the worst teams in the league. I forget that it took them 10 rounds to win a game, as they haven’t been playing as horrible as usual.  The Roos on the other hand continue to impress. IF this was at the Gabba I’d give the Lions the win, but being playing in Melb the Roo’s will be too good. Big Ben Brown to kick a bag.

Roos by 17pts

Collingwood v Fremantle - 8th play 13th (sam)

Freo have only won 1 game out of their past 5 and this week they travel to the ‘G’ to face the Pies. The Dockers haven’t beaten Collingwood at the MCG in almost TWELVE years! Sanderalnds being out will have Grundy running amuck. The Pies are determined to play finals this year, they can’t and won’t win games like this.

Pies by 20pts

Adelaide v Greater Western Sydney - 7th platys 11th (sam)

The two injury plagued teams face off. Giants have lost their past 4 games and the Crows played horrendously against the Dees last week. They will be keen to get a win so Don Pyke can’t stare them down instead of losing his mind at them Mick Malthouse style. Crows to win at home.

Crows by 15pts

Ok so may the footy gods shine down on us give 9 magnificent games and let's speak next week.

Have a great weekend.
