Round 9 Wrap
Another mad capped weekend of upsets and thrashings. The weird thing about this year is there is not very many close games. No doubt we have had the upsets, just look at Essendon and Geelong, but even when there is an upset the underdog like Essendon thrash the other side. It’s just weird.
Let’s have a look at the numbers that count…..
9 have to start off with this stat. Whilst I talk of these upsets, there was no upsets for joey who scored a perfect 9 this weekend. WHAT THE!!! You are certainly a sensational tipster joey. Congrats for that, I reckon I may even throw in a bottle of red with you mini Sherrin as well for that effort. Contact us at ODV to collect your winnings. Got too say not a bad effort by gem as well on her 8!
8 I did mean to say in my preview how that with everyone talking up Richmond this year so far that they have not won against a side that finished in the top 8 from last year yet so they should watch out. Well guess what, they still haven’t!! and both losses to Adelaide and West Coast they have been spanked.
34 How’s the turn around for the Bombers. Last week they are laughed off the MCG going down to Carlton and now they give Geelong, with all their power players, a bath by 34 points.
51 as I was talking about these thrashings. Well the average losing score this weekend was 51 points!
10,649 WHAT THE!! Australian population 24.13 million, city of Shanghai population alone 25.90 million. People who came to sold out game 10,649. People seen in crowd on the coverage of game 1,058 and I even think that was being loose. Not sure where they got the 10,000+ figure from.
4 Melbourne sitting pretty at the moment with 4 wins in a row. But whilst you could argue that is why these sides are bottom but in these 4 wins in a row they have beaten the 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th sides on the ladder. So don’t get too far ahead of yourselves.
8 West Coast have been the surprise packet of the year I think. They now sit top of the ladder with 8 wins in a row. The last time they won 8 games in a row in a season was the last season they played off in the Grand Final!
61 points is the score at the top of the ODV Footy tipping ladder with ODV’s own Romeo Vella on top from Dave Darzins. Don’t worry Dave, Romeo is just a front runner!!
Well that’s it for another week catch you all again on Friday.
