Round 5 and 6 Wrap
Darren and I were both away from the office so we didn’t get a chance to send out our predictions. Apologies to those who rely on our “great” tipping to help you make those big tipping decisions.
In what is proving to be a tipsters nightmare of a year, this week’s results give us a little faith.
Let’s have a look at the numbers that count …
1 – Geelong scored only 1 goal in the second half, making it their first loss in 12 years after leading at half time at the Cattery
6 – Carlton and Brisbane are both winless after round 6, the worst start to Carltons season in their 120 year VFL/AFL history. Perhaps Lions and Blues fans can start a support group as they battle for the wooden spoon.
<20,000 – 3 games drew in crowds of less than 20,000. North v Port - 17,617, Hawks v Saints - 15,741 and GWS v Brisbane - 10,046.
11 – Adelaide continued their winning streak over Gold Coast, bringing their streak to 11 wins. Adelaide and Sydney are the only teams the Suns have never beaten.
2 – Big Joey Daniher's teammates only targeted him twice inside 50 in their latest loss to Melbourne, this is his lowest in a match since round 22, 2015.
1 – The Round 5 winner was the only one to tip a perfect 9! Well done Wally a mini Sherrin is coming your way, send me an email to arrange your weekly prize!
7 – 7 of you picked the perfect 9 tips this week, with Matilda (Cocka Jnr 3) and Oscarkilo both picking the closest margin of 3. Congrats to you both, please flick an email my way to arrange your weekly prize of a mini Sherrin!
41 - Dave Darzins sits 1 point clear on top of the ODV Footy Tipping Ladder this week with Mitchboy, Reet, Romeo, Sterz, James Nenke, Extension and Heafy close on his tail with 40 points.
Hope you all have a fantastic week and we will see you on Friday with our tips for round 7.
