Round 4

Bunny

Yippee its Easter and Yippee whilst we enjoy the long weekend hunting for what these little guys above drop off to us we get to watch the footy EVERYDAY of the weekend for the first time. I am ready for it, are you?

 West Coast v Sydney (Sam)

It’s the 3rd Thursday night game this season and it’s finally not a Richmond game (HOORAY)

I think this is going to be ripper  game. The Eagles come off a 5 day break and a loss to the Tige’s while the Swans lost AGAIN last week to Collingwood at the SCG .. I think the footy gods had a bit too much to drink last week

The Swans are going to come out hungry for their first win of the season and surely they are just too good a team to lose 4 in a row…

Good Friday

North Melbourne v Western Bulldogs (Sam)

IT HAS HAPPENED!! The best thing since sliced bread ..The heavens have opened and there is finally a footy match on Good Friday .. Darren and I thought a good game would have been the Saints and Demons playing off.. Instead we have the Roo’s v the Dogs.. Both teams are coming off losses and both teams are playing on their home ground. I have heard mutters is the “Dogs Dynasty over already” ? Surely this isn’t the case, the Doggies will just shake that loss to Freo off and start yapping at the roo’s heels this week. I think the Dogs are far too good to lose this game.

So grab your hot cross buns, choccy eggs and fish and chips coz this game is going to be a cracker.

Doggies by 14pts

Melbourne v Fremantle (Sam)

I wouldn’t of batted an eyelid at this game a week ago, but how good were Freo last week?! No Hogan or Lewis and now losing big Maxi Gawn things might just be starting to hit the fan for what seemed to be a really promising Melbourne this season. I think this will be a closer contest than what the betting odds are giving it.. might even be worth while watching it, even if it’s just to look at Nathan Jones...

Abletty

If this was in Perth I would of given the Purple Haze the win but since it's not …

Dees by 11pts

GWS v Port Adelaide (Sam)

What a showdown last week! Was great seeing those Crows get a win and it’s always just a bit sweeter when we beat Port in front of their home crowd.. where was I?

Oh right Port v Giants.. Giants have won their last 2 flogging the Suns and North, while Port look to be getting back to that 2014 form .. However,  I think the Giants forward line and pace are going to be a bit of trouble for the Power boys to handle this week. We will hear that famous song of the giants blasting over the PA system when the final siren sounds..

Giants by 20pts

Carlton v Gold Coast (Darren)

Last weekend was a weekend of surprises and both these 2 sides did their fair share and for that this game is a hard game to pick. Carlton managed to get it’s tough win on the bottom of packs in wet sloshy conditions but this week will be a different story as they have the game at Docklands so if there is any chance of rain the roof will be closed. This fact will really bring them back to the pack and although the Gold Coast are travelling down to the cold they are on fire and full of confidence. AABBBBLLLEETTTT!!!

Suns 37 pts

Adelaide v Essendon (Darren)

After I gave the Bombers such a good rev up last week they let me down and were just powder puffs, for this I am off their wagon. The Crows on the other hand are a force on their own and even more so at the AO. No contest this week.

Crows 67 pts

Collingwood v St Kilda (Sam)

Spotlight is off Bucks now after winning one game against Sydney, surely that keeps him a job for at least another 2 years even if it’s the only game he wins all season. The Saints have improved from their 0-2 start but  they are sooo wasteful in front of goals! Seems to be a trend this season.. I think the Saints are on their way to getting their season back on track ..

Saints by 25pts

Brisbane v Richmond (Sam)

Tigers are off to a belter, this one is a no brainer.

Tigers by 32pts

Hawthorn v Geelong (Sam)

Hallelujah! What a sight to see Hawks sitting pretty on the bottom of the ladder winless! The Hawks seem to of taken the most dramatic course in rebuilding and this game is a must win for them or the race for the top 8 will be pretty tough.

Having said that I just don’t see the undefeated Dangerwood’s crumbling in this game and they will run rings around the hawks.

Cats by 45pts

We hope you have a fantastic Easter and stay safe if you are travelling. We will catch you all on Tuesday.
