Round 20 Results
When after a round we had that was full of excitement and was going to give us so much fun. And WOW I can't believe how much fun you can have when all the favourites win!! Yes there was a couple of close calls with Essendon and St Kilda having to come back from behind and OH YEAH the top of the ladder side gave the 5th on the ladder side a complete hiding?
Let's have a look at the numbers that count…..(which may be a bit dominated by a certain couple of sides.
3 HOT NEWS out. After The Suns thought their 1st coach McKenna couldn’t take them to the finals with the option of grabbing Rodney Eade they have now sacked him as he has done JACK! They are now searching for their 3rd coach.
1 HOT NEWS Crows are top after demolishing the 5th side in a record margin
3 many a records to be had in one of the worst efforts by Mother nature. One of the records was for Sam Jacobs who one his equally best 3rd Showdown Medals. Patty Ryder has been an absolute star for the Power of light but he dropped his colours.
13 yet another record for Crows Hugh Greenwood who managed to get the most tackles ever in a showdown. For an ex basketballer that is a nice job Hugh.
20 what is going on with the AFL these days. There is so many skills that has improved in our players over the years except one and that is kicking goals from set shots. They can kick em’ out of there bums on most occasions but set them up in front and they go to water. Why don’t they just get themselves a good set process in kicking the goal. The Crows half way through the 3rd quarter had more behinds than Port had total points. Now with the extreme weather you can excuse them but North Melb v Collingwood, they played at Docklands with the roof closed and had kicked 20 behinds between them at half time! So annoying.
1 got to say it has been a hard slog but the Crows are finally, after 5 Showdown wins in a row, in front on the Showdown count by 1. Something that has been very rare for the club.
20 The Geelong bus is full, full of passengers that is! Take out the Dangerwood duo like we saw on the weekend and it just clinched it.
1 point splits them now on the top of the ODV Tipsters table. Mitch took a hit selecting Geelong to beat Sydney whilst most under him just went for all the favourites and scored a 9. Worst in the top 10 tipsters to see what poor old Magilla who took to many chances at this late stage and scored only 6. This has seen him drop out of the top 10 to 13th. L
9 now we go to weekly winner and it has come down to margin points only as there was 23 tipsters this week who picked the perfect 9. Our winner though is Ding Dong. Ding Dong what the heck type of name is that I ask? With a total score of only 84, some 30 odd behind the leaders, the bell must have finally sounded and Ding Dong has come up with the goods!!
3 rounds to go Tipsters!!!
