Round 14

Well the 14 round has already began and it is has begun like recent rounds have finished, yet another upset. But it shows just how open the comp is this year with the 17th side beating the top side and not really by the top side playing so bad it was just the 17th side getting their act together and playing a great brand of footy needed top beat the top side.

Looking at our tipsters it was only 3 of us Nab, pickaroughie (great name that for this win) and Silvi. Apart from pickaaroughie Nab and Silvi must be hard core Hawk supporters.

Lets have a look at the rest of the round with possibly a view of more upsets.

Sydney v Essendon

Sydney have really been making a charge at the finals lately with last week’s win from behind against Richmond showing that late charge. Going with this you would say that yes Sydney will win this easy but I am not too sure as Essendon on their day also show they can be a the real deal and they dearly want to hang onto their no. 8 spot.

Bombers 13 pts

Collingwood v Port Adelaide

Cracker of a game for the Power last week has them facing the hapless magpies at the MCG tomorrow arvo which sees them going into this game as favourites, but only just. Should they though? Yes they should going by the position of the ladder they are but Power tell us it will be a loss for them this weekend as they have not won 2 games in a row for a while hey they punters.

Magpies 11 pts

Brisbane v GWS

Giants big favourites as they should be with the Bears hibernating for the winter. Every now and again though they stick their head out and roar. Well twice anyway. This week they will roar again, maybe.

Bears 19 pts

(whoops just realised I am talking about Lions now not Bears, oh well I thought my preview sounded good so lets keep it)

Western Bulldogs v North Melbourne

What is going on with the Doggies? Has their kennel been all 5 starred up too much after their big win last year and they are too comfy maybe.

Roos 11 pts

West Coast v Melbourne

The Demons out of all the sides last week looked the side to win the flag this year. But then go go back only a couple of rounds and Demons looked the worst side. Eagles on the other hand don’t ever really look like any kind of side. They are obviously only favourite as they are playing at home.

Demons 28 pts

Geelong v Fremantle

The only thing that gets me to want me to think Freo will win is that I would love them to win. Travelling to cat land though I cant see it happening.

Cats 18 pts

Richmond v Carlton

How the heck are Carlton doing it? Winning that is. It just doesn’t seem right but they still manage to get up and win a couple. Surely surely Richmond can win this.

Tigers 36 pts

St Kilda v Gold Coast

For me the Suns were the most disappointing last week after losing to Carlton. They have were on a good roll and really looked like they were putting up a head of steam. Mark my woirds they will come back with avengenace this week.

So there it is tipsters, short and sweat I know, but mark my words more upsets to come.

Catch ya Mondee.
