Round 13

Howdy Footy Tippers,

How have you been? Seems like ages since I have spoken to you. I imagine that Sam has been filling in extraordinarily well while I have been OS. I had such a good trip. Was a study tour and then conference. Did some wow things like spending a full day with the Ritz Carlton service excellence team (so all you clients out there better tell me if I slack off now) then when on a back stage pass to see Disney World and how they generate some happy staff and patrons coming into the parks, followed by a day at NASA being educated for the day by Astronaut Jon McBride which was such a good day. After this then attended a 3 day conference of 14,000 financial advisers from around the world. So with all this happening I did lose track of my footy tipping a little.

One thing I have noticed though is that the underdogs have still managed to get their fair share of results.

Lets have a look at this weeks games then hey with 1 game already down and the last round of byes.

Tonight we have..

North Melbourne v St Kilda

As with the season this year of up and down form and results this game is bound to be a draw although I am not going to pick a draw. Saints were telling and showing us earlier in the year that they are a real contender for top 8 but now they look as floppy as the rest, so who knows about them. While North continue their “not quite” a year. Nearly but failing. Due to this I will just go with the rested Roos.

Roos 3 pts

Richmond v Sydney Swans

Sydney made a big statement last week by dropping Kurt Tippett and then trounced the favoured Bulldogs. This week it’s the roaring Tigers who have been on a great run. The Swans did show great form but the Tigers at home could be stronger.

Tigers 14 pts

Port Adelaide v Brisbane

Brisbane were amazing last week against Freo but they are far too tired now to do it again. Port well they were as bad as the Crows a few weeks ago in the first quarter and couldn’t recover. But recover they will this week with the home game against the Lions.

Power 57 pts

Gold Coast v Carlton

How about these 2 sides last week. Fantastic results. Pity that one of them will lose this week. Here is a hot tip though from the carry on regarding Gazza Ablett at the start of the year, he is now looking good for a 3rd Brownlow. He keeps doing what he has the last month and what out. $21 at the moment and that is value!

Suns 33 pts

Western Bulldogs v Melbourne

Unlike the last game both these sides were so disappointing last week, even though Melb managed to get up I thought they played a very messy game. This week the Bulldogs will not allow them to play an under par game and get away with it so the doggies will roar.

Dogs 29 pts

So that’s it for me and see you again on Monday as I get back in the swing of footy tipping.
